Today our guest is Simon McKeon, executive chairman of Macquarie Bank, chairman of CSIRO, Australia’s world-class scientific and industrial research organisation, world-class yachtsman, founding president of the Australian Takeovers Panel, involved with education at both high school and university level, a board member of World Vision Australia and of the VisionFund, which looks after World Vision’s international development programs, medal winner in Olympic yachting and involved with Multiple Sclerosis Australia; he was diagnosed with the disease about 10years ago.

Today he talks about his vision for CSIRO and the status of scientific research in Australia, it’s problems and its promise for Australia’s future.
